Scratched the back of my car

Hey guys,

I scratched the back of my car and I am not happy with it. How can we fix it? Is it better to take back to the dealership or get it fixed from some local guy? It’s not big but ifyou see it carefully it’s scratched. I am based out of Toronto any suggestions what should I do?

Google "body shops in Toronto". Sometimes I wonder how so many people can afford to buy new cars when they have so little common sense.

Hard to say how visible that is, the pics are distorting the appearance. But it looks like no matter how carefully you touchup the damage it'll be big enough to attract your attention as you walk up behind the car. And from five, six feet away. But, while you're arranging how to get it professionally repaired, if it were my damage, I'd do the best I can so that it doesn't gross me out too much.

And yes, a pro shop. Stay away from the dealer with paint issues involving anything but warranty claims.

I wouldn't take it to the dealer. Cut out the middle man and just look for a reputable body shop that can repair it. Shouldn't be too much.

Bit harsh Silvermanor. He was only after some advice. Isn't that the reason for this forum. Who knows, it may be his first new car.
