Safe but Sad

Love the Stingers, just didn't need extra room w/ the hatchback so the G70 fit the bill. Recently had a Infiniti G35 followed by a G37 (both 4dr sedans) so the G70 was a nice & logical upgrade. Been very happy thus far, will be having the oil line recall done next month. Only negative is the dealer network. We used to have a dealer in El Paso and Albuquerque but both have closed (they may have been Hyundai/Genesis combo dealers). The closest dealer for service & warranty work is now is 440 miles away, so hopefully nothing that disables the G70 occurs and all will be good. Don't mind a road trip now & then and we get to Las Vegas 3-4x a year and there's a shiny new stand alone dealer there that will handle the warranty work (where we bought our 23 G70). I would imagine the reliability and maintenance will mirror a Stinger, but I think there's more Kia dealers but???

Only "mods" I've done is black window trim/emblems, quad exhaust tips, spoiler, and will be adding F&R whiteline sway bars this weekend.

Looks great! Yes, should be similar experience and certainly some of the mods are exactly the same - I mentioned the afe cold air induction kit that fits both. Sways bars the same - planning on adding those to the G70 at some point. Will be interested in your add of these and how they improve handling - many have said, night and day difference.

Did the sway upgrade on my last Infiniti and the upgrade was dramatic, car felt much more planted, really improved overall stability on the twisties and just a more "connected" overall drive. I won't be lowering this car so this will probably be it suspension-wise, and this is the vendor i used, free shipping and no tax added :)

And sorry to G70-up this thread, just wanted to share my safe but sad story too since they're basically the same safety tech, didn't intend to derail it this much. Back to Stinger talk!

Agreed on the hatch, though can count on one hand the number of times I used it with one or both seats down. The G70 does not have a hatch, but both seats do go down. Always have to resist wanting the Stinger to be something more that it is as a point when a whole different vehicle is really needed - such as a pick-up - as would not be a fan of messing up the interior, though to each owner, their own…
I'm using the hatch with the seats down 2-3 times a week. Rather than keep a bike rack on top of the car, I can fit my bike with both wheels on in the car. With a wheel off, I can fit it, and a trainer, and clothes for 2 weeks. Of course, the biggest thing I fit was my chest freezer.

I've put three ice chests in there, of varying sizes. The cargo cover gets left dangling by the cords with the hinges out of the sockets resting on the shelf. Done the bike transport back there too. It is super convenient to be able to load a full set of four wheels and tires when you want to swap wheels and tires. Etc. Amazing practicality in a styling statement.

If I had to replace the Stinger, what would I replace it with? An Audi A5 is way down on power, and the S5 is way over budget. New Integra Type S?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
