3.3TT RWD GT Tires

I like your setup, and might be interested in duplicating the width.

Bert, I zoomed in on the pics, and saw your tires. I decided to go back with the Michelins. I just ordered the Pilot Sport 4s in the same size as yours. I will let everyone know how they fit once I get them and they are installed.

I wanted the michelins but how much I drive vs. how much I have to spend the Kuhmo’s were the more economic choice but they had good reviews its a new tire and theyre out of Korea so I gave them a shot.

i’m happy. i like the meatier look from the rear end while still on stock wheels. the car feels more planted and after the first on-ramp i would have said the wider setup “increases oversteer” but after the second on-ramp my humble opinion is that it instead fixes the understeer. Corners and bends are more fun than they were

Finally someone with photos of wider tire on a stock rim/setup. Thank you!

I'm also in the market for aftermarket wheels but I decided to stick with the OEM measurements.

I've always widened my tires in past cars...That is until I bought my Stinger. Maybe it's because I'm getting older, but I figure the engineers who designed the car know what they're doing and fitted the best sizes for performance. If anything, I would have gone with 9" max but these OEM 8.5" look pretty sweet as is.
If engineers know best they wouldn't restrict the exhaust with pinch points, have a tiny intercooler, install crappy gapped plugs, and intentionally build in understeer for "safety".

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Hi, and welcome. So, you're after looks rather than performance. Because if you go wider than the OE tires you are messing with the designed intent of the tires and suspension and balance. I know you can go pretty wide in the rear. I've read on here of ten and eleven inches tread. You're probably going to induce understeer the wider you go. I don't know what else. Snow: narrower is better than wider for traction.
Ya obviously.. that’s what modding is… different rims, different tires…tunes… all of that “messes” with the “designed intent”…
