Any guys on here have an issues with getting an alignment after install? Anyone not do it? Read on Eibach's site that lowering a car less than 1" doesn't make it a necessity. All input and or advice would be very much appreciated!
No problem with alignment when i had mine. And Eibach Springs is made for AWD that's why they lowered less on the RWD Stinger.Any guys on here have an issues with getting an alignment after install? They have a set for the rwd now. Just curious, thanks for the input though! No problem with alignment when i had mine. And Eibach Springs is made for AWD that's why they lowered less on the RWD Stinger.
No problem! Well if that's true our vendors here should have posted it already. They have a set for the rwd now. Just curious, thanks for the input though!
Yes problems, I got stung for an alignment I never recieved. I ended up with a big rear camber. Eventually I got it properly aligned at a Kia service centre. An alignment would be mandatory after a drop me thinks. I've got the Eibachs on a RWD.Any guys on here have an issues with getting an alignment after install? Anyone not do it? Weird....I never noticed that they were the same part number but there still is AWD and RWD version. The AWD springs lower the car 1.4 and 1.2 while the RWD springs are .8 front and back. I remember I was hesitant before the RWD kit came out because AWD made the car sit lower in the back and looked sort of weird.Eibach's site only shows one part number for both AWD and RWD. Why'd alot of RWD cars look like they dropped significantly lower in the rear using this kit? Just got my car back and it looks very level. It doesn't lower them different heights, it's that the same springs on each configuration resulting in a different amount of drop.
5mm to me isn't significant, I'm more than happy with mine. But I have had nit pickers pick mine apart. Why'd alot of RWD cars look like they dropped significantly lower in the rear using this kit? Just got my car back and it looks very level.
Well that's not true since the 28701-2 are advertised as AWD/RWD springs.Eibach only makes ONE set of springs for the Stinger. They fit both the AWD and RWD cars. As others have stated, the reason why the AWD drops more significantly is because the additional weight of the AWD cars. Also the weight distribution on the AWD cars is different, with the AWD cars having weight more forward.
If you want a RWD specific spring set, you need to buy the H&R Spring set from Europe/Australia (Part 28701-2) which uses the same rear spring as the AWD cars, but changes out the front spring with a shorter one that is specific to the RWD cars to make the drop even.
