Hi,
I've searched the forum and have seen a couple of references to roof racks but I'm hoping someone could confirm that they have successfully put one on the car. I'm looking to buy a stinger (with a sun roof) and this could be a deal-breaker for me. I windsurf and prefer to put my boards on the roof. I'm sure one would fit in the car put two or three might be a stretch with the rest of the gear and if I'm traveling with someone else.

Thanks so much!

100% it's been done, I have seen members post pictures with the roof rack on. Thule has them and you can search by car

I like the one from Rhino Rack with the aero bars that integrate into the towers. Anyone have these?
etrailer has the kit for the Stinger.

Do you notice any wind noise or are the Thule Aerobars pretty quiet?
Yes there is some wind noise but mostly at higher speed. I also always have the box on when I use the rack, so I cannot say if its the bars or the box that whistle.

Fair enough. Is it a lot of effort to intall / remove the bars?

Not at all, use the provided hex key on a torque limited screw on the 4 foots and off you go. Takes about 10 minutes to do it all. The longest part is measuring the proper distance before torquing it.

Awesome. Thank you!

Measuring which distance, do you mean the exact placement of the bar/pads in relation the the window frame? I assume you do it the first time and than you put a sticker or something to know the exact location for the next time?

Yes the spot. And no, I don't want stickers 95% of the year for the 2 times I use it,so I use the tape measure each time. Not a big deal.

I’ve been looking at the stag rack

stagrack.com

anyone ever tried it ?
it looks good
