Rock-1 Windshield-0. Glad it wasn’t the roof though.

.................they pull them out on a mechanical arm in good shops I would not be too worried about damage , lots of sensors etc that will need to be recalibrated so make sure the shop is reputable
Well it’s the shop where I purchased .. they should do their work good - but the car had scratches already as I got it delivered so I’m worried. Also I don’t want new sounds .. whatever I will see what I get .. I hope that’s not the beginning of a long long story ...

your dealer wont do the work , they may get a mobile guy to come in or send it out to another glass shop

Safelite did a good job on my replacement. They didn't cause any scratches, no sign of it being replaced. I had insurance approve the use of OEM glass vs. the cheaper replacement they wanted to use. In my case(and I'm sure most cases) Safelite actually got the glass from the Kia dealership parts department.

Actually most OEM glass is inventoried in Regional warehouses due to size and the fact that most installs are done at Glass shops vs dealers ...............

stingers are an easy install we have done one at my shop and I've torn mine apart just shy of cutting out the glass, I was glad to see its not difficult or annoying like most BMW and Mercedes cars(I manage a Safelite shop in WA)

And you get "first place" for the worst glass on this thread. How did that happen?

Safelite is supposed to use hood and seat covers, if your there make sure you tell them weather you do or don't want them on your car, since its black id almost hesitate a little on the hood cover unless they have a really clean new one. since they do see a lot of older cars and the hood covers get a little rough. other than that take some goggles with you and take a pic inside it once the windshield is out and post a new thread called weight reduction mod lol

PS I know I have horrible run on sentences
