Hi, I was looking for a way to protect my rims from damage. The glue ones do not warranty to stay in place, eventually, so I found these, Rim Ringz brand.
I would appreciate your opinion about them.

I see you have the GT2 - do the Mexican market cars have the extra cameras that allow monitoring the wheel's proximity to the curb while parking? I'm sure I'd have picked up a scratch or two without them ...

Looking at reviews and the rimringz don't have a lot of good ones...too bad, it's a great idea

Not a good idea to put these between your wheels and tires. Just be careful parking near curbs.

Yes Steve, my car has the 360 cameras, but the edge of the sidewalks in the mall parking lot are not high, so the alarm did not detect
it, so I scratch the front drivers rim. Anyway, I was a plain stupid.

I real about it too. It seems that the installer did not use the right tools, altough the instructions state the bare hand tool only.

How so????
Yes, Rango, I have learned the lesson by the bad way....I am mad with myself to be careless.

Why are these Rim Rings not a good idea? I am considering them.

Lol, the irony of seeing this thread, posted (and evidently forgotten) less than a month before I joined, asking about this very issue of curb rashing in this car. Heh? :D I joined and my first post was my own thread, asking if there was a better way to repair curb rash than my three grits of sandpaper that I was using (there isn't a better way, by the way). More on these rim protectors is in the responses: Does anybody else need to learn where the wheels are on this car?

Ah, but HOW did you vote? :P (you are being prodded, not coerced in any way) I put in "I have done that more than once" because of me. :D

I'm too good of a driver for that. I also don't live or go in cities so its not really a problem for me.

wouldn't use those for the same reason I don't put chrome edge protectors on my doors. They look tacky., and I don't make a habit of driving into things.

Curb feelers... Anyone? Bueller?

You'd think with all these radar things they put into cars now they'd add some radar curb feelers lol. OR maybe you can go Bosu style and get some neon curb feelers for style points (don't do this please...)
