Uh-oh.well I feel silly. I was just watching an F1 documentary and their newest exhaust design is to come out of the headers into a collector and then increase the diameter by 40% for 10 inches and neck it right back down again. Basically to simulate the design that was stumbled upon in a random backyard hack job cat punch out.
Watching the flow simulation is amazing when the flow stream expands, creates huge turbulence pockets in the corners while dropping in velocity, and then compresses up against the neck down and builds pressure before a velocity increase again.
The high pressure zone in front of the neck down is what really pays dividends.
turns out dazzler was right all along
first off you have done rubbish, not my opinion, fact. Thinking a big diameter increase followed up by a big decrease in your exhaust is good for flow is mind boggling inaccurate. If that was good every exhaust would have that intentionally.Anyway these forums are here for us all to learn if someone tells me what I have done is rubbish I will retaliate, you don't know me or how much money I have spent
