Replace steering wheel?

Hi,

Does somebody know if it is possible to replace driving wheel? I am not talking about replacing the badge. I don't bother with KIA sticker. After the test drive (3.3) I really liked the car, but the wheel feels so cheep unfortunately. Quality of materials could be better. Do you think is can be replaced with the custom one, so all the functions will remain?

?? Leather wrapped. Quality? I doubt there would be any steering wheel that would match up with what the Stinger has unless it would be another Kia and I'm sure that wouldn't meet your expectations. Never heard of that complaint. Buy another Merc, maybe?

No, you need to buy an AUDI, Mercedes, BMW or Rolls.....

I think the wheel itself is as good as any German BUT the centre "hub and cap" are questionable but certainly not a big issue for me

I would only wrap the center piece with leather in kind of Lexus way

but I'm not sure if airbag could be covered without safety consequences. Does anybody know?

Leather would be a bad surface through which to explode an airbag. I'll take plastic, thank you....

Humm never thought I would hear a complaint about the steering wheel I think its pretty damn nice if I do say so myself unless your comparing it to a Porsche or something over the 80K mark but each to there own. Well if you wanna change it that's your thing but I would be very very cautious on what it effects as far as all the controls and the SRS system one thing you don't wanna trick or mess with its brain are your air bags so be cautious!!! they could of wrapped the center in leather but the comfort and feel of the actual D wheel is one of the best I have owned in my long list of cars, and no I have never owned a Honda lol

Thank you all for responses, I am sorry if that sounded as strong opinion, but it is what I meant. I decided to go for another test drive and we able to go to the circuit for 30 min. I really like the engine and the gearbox, the accelerations is great, seats are very comfortable. I really think for the price, and the engine Stinger is the best value on the market for the new GT car.

However, for myself I find 3 things, that I didn't like:
1) Exhaust. Stock one does not suit this car. There are may options for the custom ones, so overall not a big deal.
2) Wheel. As I have mentioned, and its my personal opinion, it feels like it does not belong to this car. Overall car feels like a noble one, but wheel does not. This is my bias opinion, and I don't want to persuade anybody. But in the end I can live with it.
BTW, the wheel from K900 would be ideal ))

3) The biggest one - how it drives on speeds more than 170 km per hour (> 105 mph). It felt a bit strange, a bit nervous, sometimes I wanted more weight in the wheel, sometimes I was not sure that it keeps good connection with the road. This one bothers me. May be I will take another test drive a bit later, once calm down all the thoughts.

Overall, I like the car. May be, due all this hype, I wanted it to be perfect from the beginning, so I can just go and buy it. But as I've mentioned - there are some things that made me think a bit more before doing this. And once again, I don't want to persuade anybody in anything. All mentioned above is my personal observation that should help me in making my decision on buying it or not
