I'd guess no as there doesn't seem to be a real strong aftermarket community for electronics with these. Maybe Amazon or Alibaba would have what you're looking for? What functionality are you missing/wanting?
Researching this myself. The touchscreen is connected via 2 plugins and mounted with 2 screws. Checking out options to upgrade to a more recent Android version and not sure that we need the Kia software if the replacement unit has integration for cameras, USB, etc....
The touch screen is just a screen.. The brain if you want to call it that is separate.. The actual radio is the where the button for volume and other buttons are at.. And remember everything is integrated into that as well.. Since the screen shows all your climate info and more.. So you are not going to be able to just replace it.. I am going to guess there will never be an aftermarket solution. I think the best bet would be converting to the touchscreen that was in the gt2 which is from what I know bigger..
As mentioned, the screen is just a simple display, like a computer monitor. Provided the 7 and 8 inch screens both have the same native display resolution and connectors (likely, but I don't know that to be the case), swapping to the larger display would provide exactly the same information you are getting now - just slightly larger and slightly less crisp.
If you don't have navigation now, you won't get it by changing the display.
The body of the touchscreens are different dimensions between models.
The gauge clusters are the same and bolt in — but you will need to have some of the programing changed like mileage etc. there’s a write up on here for installing the GT2 gauge cluster into a GT. Not so easy for the touchscreen unfortunately

I'm am in the process of doing this. Mostly on the FB groups for updates. So far, the pin out is mostly the same. 2 wires are different on the lvds cable. When I plugged the 8" in it turns on but no touch function. Couldn't get dealer to confirm if firmware is needed. Makes no sense why it would...

You'll have video but you won't have any touch functionality. Need the lower silver unit that has navigation. That unit contains the digitizer to power the touch panel in the 8-in screen
