I bought some carbon fiber mirror covers, thinking it wouldn't be too much of a problem to install (not that I would do it, but my usual body shop guy). I saw a video on YouTube and it looked pretty simple and quick from that video, but the guy I brought it to said he can't get it to pry off easily, and he doesn't want to take the chance of breaking it.

Does anyone have a experience taking these off? any suggestions?

It's very simple, always a risk of breaking the mirror though. I did mine in about 20 minutes the other weekend.

Shouldn’t even take 10 minutes. Time for you to find a competent body guy. Or get some plastic body tools, grow some nuts and do it yourself.

It's easy but also easy to break. If you want zero chance of not accidentally breaking it, take to a body shop. Shop price to install would probably be less expensive than having to buy a replacement you accidentally broke in removal.

I watched that video and so did the body shop guy. I agree it looks easy, and I'm sure he's popped off many mirror covers in his life, but with this particular car, he didn't want to take the chance.
