Remote start

So when I remote start my car before getting in it only runs for maybe a minute before it shuts off, is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

You can set the max time in the Kia Access app, and probably in the car's system settings. I think there's a 5 and 10 minute option, but maybe a 1min as well?

Some other rules:
- All doors, hood, and trunk have to be closed (and locked once you hit that button before the start button)
- If you open a door, you have something like 20 seconds for the car to detect the key inside the car or it'll shut down (not enough to have detected it when you unlock the door to open it, which is odd)
- If you hit the brake (ie to shift into gear) without the key being detected, it will also shut down immediately

I had the same problem with my 2018 GT. Tried to correct it on the website but car still shut off after a minute. Kia Connect site and app are not that good. I also hated having the 4 ways flashing the whole time it was on.

I have had this happen as well with my 2023 GT Line. Doesn't happen all the time though.

Mines a 22 gt1 I've only had a few months. So I'll look and see if there's something in the settings as I haven't had time to deal with the app yet
