I completely agree, I have purchased several new vehicles over the years. I have taken some of them in for warranty work with no issues. Now with my new purchase that will be one week old to me tomorrow i am sadden by my dealership interaction thus far.
During the purchase they where obviously great and responsive. During the actual transaction I was a little irritated at them as they agreed to a price and then reneged on that price. They blamed it on the fact that the way I was going to finance it they could not provide a $2750 rebate. Well sorry we never spoke that this price was only good if I took a 5-9% interest rate, well that was not going to happen when I could get 0-.9%. I moved on from there and purchased the vehicle as I do like it. During the purchase I pointed out that there was a paint issue at the front driver side headlight. They said they are going to fix it and we set up an appointment for today. Well yesterday I go to drop off the car and get a loaner as correcting a paint issue would take a while. Well when I went to drop it of their corporate policy is they do not provide a loaner, this will be my first time a dealership would not provide a car if the warranty work would take some time. Now I understand if it was a 2 hour job that there would not be a loaner. So I will have to go back on another Friday when I can sit with the car for a little while they do the repair.
Moving on to the next issue, the nav map is out of rev at the time of purchase. During the deal the dealership said they would get it updated at the same time as the paint, great that is just fine. Again yesterday talking with service and salesman, service said they could not do anything about it. Service moved me to kia customer relations which then moved me UVO customer support. UVO was great and got the problem resolved in a 5 min phone call and an photo showing the map was out of rev.
I hope that further interaction with them gets better, but at this time I am not holding my breath. Bad part about the issue is this dealership owns the closest three Kia dealerships. Again I hope this was just a little fluke and the dealership experience is much better after this.
