Stinger 3.3t motor converted to port injection with variable valve timing deleted by Otsuka Maxwell Design (OMD) in San Diego.

Listen to Steve Maxwell talk about the limiting factors of the Stinger 3.3t being the emissions oriented variable valve timing and the size of the direct injection system here at 3:50

Wow....We need to get in touch with the guy who built the engine.
I have so many questions for him.

Nicely done - looks like quality craftsmanship all the way. They should have more shows on TV about what these kind of builders are doing, instead of the Gas Monkey crap that permeates the airwaves.

Though I have to say there are a couple shows like Kindig that are doing very high quality metal and interior work - I could just do with more coverage of the actual fabricating, and less 'reality TV' artificial hijinks.

Wow, we need more details on that upper end. Any details on the turbos either?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Turbos are Garrett G series, probably G25 or G30s. But remember folks, this is running a stand alone ECU, connected to a sequential manual trans. Might as well be a an LS swap as it has no relevance to a stock stinger, or what most people can build or tune for a street car. Variable valve timing can be managed via many aftermarket stand alone ECUS, something like a Syvecs S6/S7i for example, but it take times to to create the base profiles and then tune for power and drive-ability. So the fixed cam gear actuator delete would be a no go. Lastly swapping to full port injection makes sense when you are building a race car with new fuel system, but on a street stinger leveraging DI still makes sense. IF we pump made from someone like XDI, and tune for increased pressure, then all DI 800+hp fuel system might be possible.

Papadakis did the same thing with their 1000hp B58 build: Port injection conversion. They had to make plugs for the DI injector ports and remove them because without fuel they got too hot and melted.
