Does anyone know what the console above the rear view mirror does? I had my Stinger stolen this week, but recovered it by using the AirTag that i had hidden inside, no damage but the DashCam that was next to the rear view mirror was taken. The cover for the console behind the mirror was also off, but i don't know if there is anything else missing.

On our Premium, that panel kept falling out every one to three days. I think on this trim it covers the "innards" of the rain sensitive wipers. Doesn't matter what it is in there. I finally solved the falling out issue by using a square of black Gorilla tape. If the panel went missing, I'd probably be okay with that black tape. You can't really see that area anyway, as long as it is covered by something black.

Thanks, I have the plastic cover and just have the wires that were hanging down from the dashcam, but wasnt sure if there was anything else in there, or what the point in the thieves taking it off was.

Took mine to the dealer because that panel kept falling off. Turns out Kia only sell that cover with all the sensors and the mirror at a cost of over £900 (!). Said they would replace it, went to pick it up, they said it was fixed but not covered under warranty and charged me 40 quid. By this point I was so sick of their crap service I just paid it to get my car back. Never taking it there again.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

But did they make it good so that the panel stopped falling off? If so, then "by Grabthar's Hammer, what a savings!"

Lol yes, but they didn't replace it as they said they would under warranty, just glued the original back in place and charged me 40 quid for the privilege. See my post on the turbo oil feed thread for their other shenanigans with my car. Forum won't let me post the link..

GLUED? Unbelievable! I hope that you made your opinion of their "service" known.

Guessing that's what they did, I haven't touched it as I don't want it falling off again. I was rather "Forthright" on the email survey link they sent me after my car had been to them for a service and the oil feed line a while back. Bastards did the service and were supposed to change the spark plugs but didn't. Charged me for it though!

Don't know how people like this stay in business. Guess they rely on the 95% of people who go in there who know nothing about the mechanics of cars.
