I've been trying to figure out the rear seat control. It is nice that rear passengers can control their temp. But how does it jive with the front control? Is it just completely independent?

If the air is blasting up front, but the kids leave the heat cranked in the back, wouldn't be too efficient for the climate control to be constantly trying to overcome the back seat temps....

Is there a way to disable the rear control when no one is back there?

Where does everyone leave the rear temp set? Do I just, not worry about it and turn off the vents?

Never had a car with rear controls that didn't have an "override" up front.

Looks like it's an electrical heater vs. the engine coolant up front - based on the fuse descriptions.

I think the simplest solution is to reach back and turn it to the lowest setting.

It is 100% independent. Rear even has its own little heater core.
Keep it set to full cold unless heat is desired.
I'd put a piece of black tape over the dial or otherwise prevent kids from changing the setting.

i know the k900 has the ability to control the rear when ur back there. I've never noticed the back in the stinger never been back there yet ha ;)

Interesting.. do you know where it's located?

It's a little odd they'd put a temp control, but no fan speed control back there..

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

It would be right near the rear vents. There are coolant lines running down the RH side of the tunnel.

Some RH drive car owners have complained about the added heat near their legs.

Independent rear HVAC is very unusual.
