Rear License Plate Screw Size

Hi,

I am looking to replace my rear license plate screws that were provided by the dealership. I am trying to figure out the proper screw size.

From my understanding, the screw size is not the same as some other companies. After doing some research, I ordered some online and they did not work.

I cannot seem to find consensus anywhere. Does anyone have any idea what the proper size is? Bonus points if you can link me to a rust resistant black screw on Amazon!

I will try that out. Now the question is what color do I get? I have a 2022 Ceramic Gray GT2. I am in Michigan. I have black ones now. Maybe I will get just standard color?

Any thoughts?

Legal loop hole (IF THE PLATE WAS NOT MOUNTED AT THE DEALER IT DOSNT NEED TO BE MOUNTED)

if you do need to have a front plate, there is a plastic bracket that mounts there , then the plate. Ours was in our glove box.

Rear. Apparently the answer is M6X 20MM.

M6 x 1.0 x 20mm (length [20mm] may vary depending on the presence of a license plate cover or frame or both or none)

^^Does it really matter? Isn't it going into plastic anyway? IIRC, the ones from the dealer (both front and back) were plastic screws into plastic threaded openings.

The rear goes into metal threaded inserts M6x1.0

The front, to my knowledge is just self tapping screws in plastic.

^^Hmmm.. Could of sworn both were plastic. Or maybe on the pre 22's they were metal.
