rear catalytic converter delete
No need to pay $600 for two pipes when you can just empty them out

thats The material out of the catalytic converter. Don’t pay $600 for two pipes when you can just empty the back catalytic converter out with a chisel

i stuck the sawzall blade ( reciprocating saw blade ) in the catalytic converter and then just took the chisel in it and smashed it up and hammer the rest out. It comes out really easy.

This is old school I can remember lots of people over the years on forums doing this. How does the car sound now and do you have the stock exhaust still on?

my cars exhaust is still super quiet. but made a difference with the stage 1 tune and race chip set at 1. now the tires leave tracks and since i cut the wire for the brake switch to ecu, i can hold the brake and gas to launch off way faster. launch control was a useless joke

Will emptying the rear cat like you did cause any sensor problems?

nope. none at all. the o2 sensors are on the first two cats

I know I’m late to this thread but I had my rear cats removed and I really like it, it gave it the growl without being annoying.
The ONLY problem is when I put it under stress at around 2k RPM through 2.5K I’ll get a bad BRGLRGRGL then stops. I’m not sure what’s causing that but otherwise it sounds great.

i just empty mine out And put them back on and it sounds really good. Not loud, can’t even tell they were removed. but made a big difference with this stage one tune. All noise and no motor don’t sound good
