3.3TT Rear Brake pads - in Canada

The front brake pad size is super common. The 1001 size used by many cars.

What is the rear pad part number? (Aftermarket).
Is there not a standard brake pad size that fits - without the extra weights/ears?

Anyone in Canada had any luck finding aftermarket brake pads?

Is there really no brake pad size number that matches the way the front is a 1001 size?
I am not concerned about the sound damping ears, just looking for data.

There must be standard generic pad size common across many makes and models

Yeah, I fell for that too...
I searched those as pad size 961 (multiple websites).

I bought them. - They are not the same




I compared the Stinger rear pads to the 961 pads

I bought my rears from Carbotech for the '18 STi, the backing and pad are correct, however the pad is just slightly off center from the stock pads. Whereas the stock pad sweeps in the middle of the rotor, the STi pad sweeps slightly higher, toward the outer edge of the rotor (but still within the rotor). Did a full track day on them and they worked flawlessly and installed with no issues. Will post pics in a minute.

BTW, Carbotech may have updated their design, since I was the first person to run these pads from them in the Stinger. I gave them my input

I'm not sure what your planning to do with the car, but the XP series of pads have compounds that are track focused. I would NOT recommend them for the street. For the street you'd want the 1521 compound.

For me, I ordered the XP12 fronts and the XP10 rears and those are strictly for my track setup.
