Really poor radio reception

Hey guys. Maybe just a really shit factory antennae but does anyone else struggle to pick up local FM/DAB radio channels in the stinger? I live in Illawarra and I can barely even get my 3 local channels on fm. Dab doesn’t work until I get over the mountain and halfway to Sydney. When I drive south towards Nowra and longer I can’t pick up anything at all...it’s shocking.
wondering if it might be a warranty problem or if other stinger owners have the same problems.

I’m in Sydney & DAB works fine, but does drop out once outside of the greater Sydney area.

Digital reception is basically line of sight so unless you have a nearby repeater down there it will drop out.

yer I thought dab would work anywhere but was way off on that. But even the fm is piss poor on the local channels.

Perhaps try to test in another Stinger at a local dealer and you should get a good comparison.

I’ve not had that issue, I’m running a BlackVue dashcam & a Spigen 12V USB Adapter.

No dash cam but I do have a 12V USB adapter. I’ll pull that out and check but pretty sure reception was f&*%ed before I had that in.
