• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Rafa Signature Edition

Given that Kia was the sponsor of the Oz Open tennis and the Stinger ads first appeared then, what are the chances that the Rafa edition are the cars they used to drive the players around during the tennis (ie from hotels in the city to the tennis and back). From what I saw of photos of the Stingers on display in carparks near Melbourne Park, they looked like 2.0l versions. Calling them Rafa edition to flog them off (and he was out of the Open early enough to get his signature and get them out to dealers), instead of calling them demo models?

You’re a smart cookie aren’t you. I bet you’re absolutely right!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Its still only a 2 litre.
Agree with you, 3.3ltr V6TT all the way, and yet the Stinger 2.0ltr turbo produces 182kw, compared to my 2004 VZ with a 3.6ltr Alloytec V6 producing 175kw, well when new, and yet even now still has plenty of power, its just interesting how smaller capacity engines can produce higher horsepower by turbocharging, its awesome to think that your Stinger's 3.3ltr V6TT can match or even out perform that VFll Commodore SS 6.2ltr LS3 V8 sitting next to you at the lights..haha

Its funny how we all think and come to various conclusions. I have 3.3 gt but i drive it around exclusively in eco or comfort mode thereby not utilising all those unbridled horses. So would i be better off with the 2.0? Answer probably no because its there if i want it. If it wasnt there i would probably crave them horses.

Stinger is everything i wanted and was looking for, before i even heard about it for the first time late last year. It has a V6TT and not a gas guzzling V8 i would have to live with everyday, i have had two cars with a sunroof before, wanted one again, had a VL Turbo, so a twin turbo V6 is so perfect, my VZ should have been blue, before Stinger the only blue i liked was Deep Sea Blue from BMW or Midnight Blue, but when i saw the Deep Chroma Blue, i knew right away, i insisted on a car that will be rare on the roads and head turning, like the Stinger will be for quite a while from now. Still expensive but not so much compared to its rivals, the KIA badge doesn't concern me at all, and there is nothing wrong for those of you who wish to re-badge, your choice, i have always driven my cars quite conservatively, but love how Stinger has the horsepower there if you want or need it, and lastly the Stinger fits into my category of " a wolf in sheep's clothing", as the saying goes, LOVE IT.

I started this "Rafa Signature Edition" thread, SORRY for changing the subject, and giving my life story..haha:)
My point is like what Ozstung said, if i had a 2.0ltr Stinger, i know i would regret not having the extra horsepower.

Wise choice all round my friend.

No your not colour blind? Please explain...:)

Let's just say, it looks like a stripe I'd see on the side of a custom painted Dodge Sportsman van from 1977. I wonder how many of these they'll sell...

Ok , visited my local Kia dealership today, 2nd time in 3 days, because they placed a Rafa Signature Edition Stinger in Panthera Metal colour in the showroom, had to see it. Impressive in person, of course it is a 2.0ltr turbo, with brown interior, no heated or cooled seats, no 360 Camera, 19inch rims, but no Brembo brakes, no power hatch, no D shaped steering wheel, and the Build Date is NOV 2017.
I know we have seen this model already, but i would like to post my photos from today.

This is a pretty good idea. What Kia could do is partner with Nike, much like Ford successfully did for years, in making a Nike edition. Quilted leather, embroidered Nike swoosh, special paint color, and maybe, just maybe, replace the Cheap looking Kia badge (sorry Kia, it does look cheap) with a Nike Swoosh.

They’ve partnered well with the NBA, this shouldn’t be much of a stretch.

As for me, I’d go for a truly authorized Rafael Nadal version!
