Is Racechip VIN locked or married to the car? Does it need to be reprogrammed?

Their site didn't seem 100% clear to me, in that they said they do 1 free reprogram within 24 months of original purchase, but I am having trouble determining if that is only needed if it is for an entirely different vehicle (make/model).

It is not vin linked. I ran it on my friends for a day so he could see what it was like and it works fine. The app just links to the serial # of the device.

After doing additional research I don't think this would be a solution I am interested in.

Can you share pictures of it in its current state? Does it require upgraded spark plugs? Which kind of so? Just want to help get an idea of what it looks like and it’s current shape.
