3.3TT Quicksilver Exhaust Systems

But you didn't know any of that when put down the deposit anyway. You pulled out, which jeopardizes the group buy, based on 1 review ? Nobody knows how the system will sound on their own car, and how much you will enjoy/dislike it until you are driving it in the conditions you drive it in.
There was way over 20 orders it will not jeopardize it, some people just want to slap on there parts and go without worrying about installing new tips or dealing with possible vibrations or loud drone and I don't blame him for backing out. Mayby as time passes and more reviews come out some of us will feel more confident in the exhaust and order it.

Thank you. Yes, exactly.

Nothing wrong if you dont feel comfortable and want to back out. Ive considered it as well, theres been multiple things that I have considered red flags to my eyes that others may not agree with. You do you, dont worry bout the rest.

yes sir, I backed out....no disrespect to the company or anybody here just think I jumped the gun to early without some feedback first.

I agree that it isn't for everyone but I think the discounted price makes taking the risk of buying an exhaust without a bunch of reviews worth it. I don't want to see reviews of it and want it. All of a sudden it is $2000 and I missed out on a hefty discount. Just my two cents. Hopefully it doesn't bite me.

Glad you are all straightened out Eric. its the simple things that make all the difference.

It's all good, no hard feelings from me. And Quicksilver is banking on once this system hits the streets, the great reviews will generate more interest.

After my Sport system was installed, I knew I loved the sound and wanted more. Did not hesitate to get the creative juices flowing over there for a louder system, with the absolute greatest soundtrack for this car

It's 100% ok for those that had second thoughts. While disappointing, they are a business and understand things happen. There were more than enough past the 20 that it was a bump in the road, and while costing them some $$ it's in the past, and they are excited for this batch to ship, and other things to follow.

Im looking forward to the reviews.

Me too. Feel bad for backing out, but this should be as Plug n’Play as possible with hardware and minimal need for finagling, soundproofing, vibration padding, and having to explain details to an installer. It’s not like I just jumped on another aftermarket bandwagon. Still respect the UK ethos/dedication..

Wrapped a 7-on and missed a lot of conversation this week! As a wise man once said, "opinions are like a**holes" but it's the internet so I just can't help myself.
-The clips on the sale page are pretty dang tasty, even if cherry picked or under controlled conditions!
-The tips look fine from most angles but a bit cheesy from top down. I'm from the land of 12" truck tips and rolling coal so my standards may be different. Gonna DIY the install so hoping there isn't any obscure hardware to find mid-job.
-Definitely dig the idea of some high temp black paint on the mufflers if it looks strange.
-The QS crew, themselves, deserve a clap and a half for continuous revisions to meet quality standards. Based on their other SS systems on YouTube, they don't just copy/paste some Flowmaster Super 40s with a Cherry Bomb for a resonator. Gotta respect meticulous R&D.
-Weird as it sounds, retail healthcare is down during Covid. I may despise my corporate overlords but I'm grateful to be employed right now and have the ability to keep my order.
I'll try to do some proper recording with decent mics, volume/tone correction, and a variety of placements. The argument of "you never know how it really sounds just from a cell phone video" shouldn't have to be used so often. I don't have Ollie's baller setup but we'll give it the old college try. o7

Did they reply right away when you canceled? and also did you receive your deposit back, I've been trying to get a hold of them and I have not gotten a reply I can really use that deposit at the moment.

I emailed Ollie on 9/2/20 and have not yet gotten a response.

Just an FYI, response I got from QuickSilver regarding the status and recent talk about the sound.

Yes, creating an appropriate sound for the Stinger has been very challenging and our system has gone through a number of iterations. We are now totally satisfied with the result and confident that we have the right balance and note.

Six months ago, we already had a great system for the Stinger, and it was popular. During April we listened to feedback from the Stinger community and heard that our system could have a bit more presence and be easier to install. We responded and have undertaken a complete re-development to provide these improvements.

The changes were quite marginal and, of course, everyone has their own taste. And yes, there was one local Stinger owner who was not entirely satisfied with his iteration, his expectation and driving environment were very particular. In fact, another Stinger owner experienced that car while it was here and was so pleased he ordered immediately. However, we listened again and have re-visited the design until we were 100% confident that our new SuperSport system has what most Stinger drivers require - a nice increase in volume under hard acceleration without becoming uncivilised.

All of these alterations were very subtle 'shades of grey' and I cannot remember spending so long on such small changes to an exhaust design.

As I have said, we are now completely happy with the result and confident that Stinger enthusiasts will be so also. Our Stinger systems are going into production next week and should despatch during October.

Thank you again for bearing with us.

Kind regards

Paul Goddard

Man, if I were more confident with the (lack of) 'drone', fit, hardware, and viable tip options, I would reconsider...
But it's tax season, winter's coming and it's the (no snow/salt) garage queen, so it seems reasonable to wait for more experienced feedback... I guess...Dammit!

I found mine had minor drone @ 2k rpm just for the first couple weeks, once it was broken in it went away. Since the Stinger is so quiet stock, your ears may need some time to adjust as well. I really don't think one person's account after having it for so little time should sway so many. Everyone has their own tolerance as well so maybe this individual could think QS is a 8 or 9/10 volume-wise where maybe myself or another could think 5/10.

The included tips are just an added bonus, IMO. Chop them off and buy your own tips if you don't like how they look. Since there won't be any fitment issues, adding your own tips should be much easier than those of us with the original system. I still haven't connected mine and notice no drone. I get a bit of reverb at low rpm through my dash/console and feet but I find it enjoyable as opposed to annoying.

It's a strange time though so I guess if you're not 100%, I get it. Given what they've done though (extending the tips) I find it real hard to believe there would be any excess drone as compared to the original. I believe someone just re-aligned their system which eliminated the drone/reverb they were feeling.
