Questions regarding the JB4

Great, I'll put them on my current wish list along with the BMS diff brace. The JB4 and spark plugs will be my last mod.
I did just pick up the Mishi FMIC as well. Hope to have that installed in the next two weeks. The intercooler was initially last but rather get it out the way now before it starts getting hot again. I can update you on that mod as well.

I initially thought the EWG wires were only necessary if you have downpipes. Is that not the case?
I heard that they are a must if you have downpipes, or otherwise over/under boost. Not sure if they could be used on an otherwise stock setup to improve turbo response or not. I would ne interested to know.

Yup I heard the same thing. Since I had zero intentions on adding a downpipe. But I’m wondering if I will have under or over boost. Feel like if that’s the case I do not understand why the EWG wires will not be included with the JB4 to begin with rather than having it as an option.

Hope someone gets back to both of us on this.

Yeah but he almost two hours away. I might hit up the guy that does some of my installs and see what he says. I just don’t want to deal with limp mode. The highest map I would use is Map 2.

Yeah, wish we could get 93 here in California
 
EWG are for max effort cars or modified exhaust in cold weather where the exhaust causes over boosting.

Yep, I live in Minnesota.. downpipes with catback and I started getting a little more overboost issues once the cold weather hit, my EWG wires will be here tomorrow so I'm looking forward to installing em..

Turbos are already small so there’s little to no turbo lag but with the EWG wires the turbo spool up immediately. It feels like boost is also instantly hitting target after each shift. I would recommend even with no aftermarket exhaust worth the $100.

I have a 2018 Genesis G80 Sport and usually run map 6 with +4 psi through all rpm ranges with 45 duty cycle due to random overboost problems basically map 1 since it’s my daily driver :)

My fault idk why I said G70! so map 1 for us Cali people is still worth it with no no tune at all? Since we only get 91
