Hi Guys,

I have a question about the turbo on the Driver side, maybe this has been answered but i wasn't able to find anything about it.

I have recently installed Injen intake and TurboXS BOV on the car. And ever since i have been hearing some weird noise on the driver side. When i accelerate hard and leg off the gas, i can hear a high pitch noise on the driver side (and no, its not the BOV making the 'pssssh' sound).

Also, I have setup the BOV to VTA and the driver side BOV doesnt really let off any air only the passenger side does. Is this normal? I did not find any instructions on setting up this BOV in the car. Did i make any mistake in installation?

Any suggestion/Comment will be helpful.

Thanks!

Yes kind of like a high pitch whistle. I'll try and make a video today and share.

Is this your first turbo car?

Not being a smart ass I swear! Thats typically a Turbo whistle and enjoy it... Sounds like an Angel singing to me :D

The valves are right next to each other. How did you determine which valve is working correctly and which one is supposedly not?
For now just make sure all your connections are secure. If they are and you dont see a code, it's probably fine

Haha, yes this is my first turbo car. And i understand the whistle. But this was like a short high pitch whistle sound with a jerk when i let off the gas. That's why i was concerned.

Basically i had my friend rev the engine while i check manually. I can feel the air blowing off the passenger side but not the driver side.

And i did redo the whole driver side intake again. It doesn't seem plush on the driver side turbo, seems a bit off. But upon multiple tries, that was the best fit i could get. And i have check with my OBD2, i do not have any codes. Are there any specific metric/code i should be looking out for?

Nothing in particular, depending on the connections it could be vacuum leaks, boost pressures off, ect.

But if you aren't confident that the intake pipe is secure on the turbo inlet I would definitely focus on securing that fitment.
