You can use the regular fob:
I have the remote start option as well and was bummed to see it on an extra fob. After reading the manual, turns out that extra fob is not necessary!!! On the regular key fob, press the lock button and then press (do not hold) the trunk release OR panic button and the car will start. The car does turn off though when you open the door. Doesn't really bother me too much considering the purpose of my remote start is to warm the interior on cold Colorado days.
Edit: this may make for a good thread in itself, as I bet a bunch of remote start users dont know the regular fob can accomplish the same task. Really, I'm not sure why the extra fob exists...
