PROUDLY WEAR YOUR KIA BADGE OR CHANGE IT?

Joe Walsh put out an album many years ago titled “You Bought It - You Name It”. I think that’s brilliant and a quirky fun idea to ownership. That said - if you chose to change the badging of YOUR purchase... you bought it - you name it. Regardless of what badging you have - the discussions will still be yours to have/enjoy... and often start off with “that’s a KIA”! Enjoy. db

Right now, i have no emblems at all on my car :D
:D I hadn't even noticed. What does that say? I was focused on your white plate delete, I think

(Ah, but you do have KIA wheel caps. :P)

My car is pretty much badged with Stinger everywhere, but when asked about the car I quickly identify it as a Kia. I also explain it is more like a Genesis based upon chassis and engine, but with a cool hatchback design similar to the Audi A7. In the past two days I have had people notice the car in front of the golf course and ask questions.

Stinger should be a name in a class by itself. I changed my badges tires and hood to the “E”, I don’t want anyone thinking it’s an Optima...not a lot of people are too familiar with the Stinger....but it’s Excellence is totally overwhelming World Wide. Change em, don’t change em, I like to customize mine to anything that looks better.

In the US all caps K.I.A stands for "Killed in Action". If it was written as Kia with lower case letters it wouldn't be as bad. However, I just think they totally messed up with their branding for the United States. The "E" badge looks so much more upscale too. The "KIA" badge is just so cheap looking. They did so much right on their cars they just simply need to re-brand. It really is that simple.

Interesting note. If you combine the Genesis badge with the "E" badge it would look WAY TOO SIMILAR to a Bentley badge for the trademark police.

I'm in the United States and KIA means a brand of car too me. Maybe the K.I.A. acronym is a gaming or military thing, but the are only a couple aspects of U.S. culture... so, I still cry brand/badge snobery!

Yeah I've never served in the military but KIA always meant Killed in Action to me, long before Kia started selling cars on our shores. On the flip side, I don't think the E badge makes a lick of sense. "Engineered by Excellence, Exclusive, Exquisite and Evolutionary"? Does any other car manufacturer have a badge of a letter a bunch of random words start with that isn't the letter of the company? I like the look of it, it just seems random as hell. I like the old Korean Kia logo myself, or failing that the modernized version.
