Just became proud owner of a Stinger GT2.
Glad to be a freshly minted member of Stinger community. A Major upgrade from Infiniti G37

I have 2019 GT2 I've had it 2 years in Oct. Only hah 7k on it but just it first long trip. 1000 miles up and 1000 back. A great car for long distance driving.



I always thought G35 and 37 were great machine also. Why such a big upgrade?

My G37 has has over 165k trouble free miles now so decided to move up to something nicer.

I have 2019 as well with 24k miles. Kia replaced the engine at 20k so the engine is almost new now. My only problem is that

Lower Deflector - Kia (29110-J5100)​

Is missing for some reason and there is a nationwide shortage for them where even Kia warehouses do not have in stock. Even junk yards are sold out. ,

Wrote a complaint to Kia's consumer affairs that 50k car should not have part shortages like that

G37 was the last semi luxury sports oriented sedan with that raw power feel. Super reliable as well

Vega. Did have the lower deflector and it fell off. Or you never had one?1,

I do not think that my car came with one. I accidentally noticed it when I placed my car on the ramps. Not a good idea to drive without one

As an owner of both, I think the build quality on the G37 was better than on the kia. The body materials seem more robust - ie the front fenders appear paper thin on the kia. They were thicker on the G. Better alignment of panels, gaps. Paint quality is yet to be determined, probably thin on both. Much better feedback from the tires with hydraulic steering.

Where the G was lacking is tech and infotainment. IMO, this is to be expected. The G platform came out ~2006 or 2007. Even after the upgrades in 2010, it was still old tech. It was also superior in that it didn't come with all these safety nannies.

We'll see how well this stinger runs after 100K miles.

In the OP's case a definite improvement in power. The G was NA and made its power up top. IIRC torque was rated at ~270 lb ft, ~330hp. The stinger feels 'lighter' on its tires than the G did, even the 4 cyl model. I expect even more so for the 6 cyl's.
