Post your Harman/Kardon sound settings.

It is absolutely the same as with a USB cable. I'm pretty sure the car has its own signal processor.
Maybe you can get better quality if you play the songs directly from a USB stick or through an audio-in cable.
BUT, if you think you can hear the difference in a car going 80 mph, at a normal volume... you have super ears.
It's absolutely not the same, as Bluetooth is compressed in addition to whatever the compression of the source material is. Now, some good sound systems do a great job of restoring the fidelity of the compressed material, the HK in the Stinger being one of them if turned on, but save your lossless music for a truly quality soundstage.

I know BT is compressed but I will not be convinced that apple carplay plays hi-fi music over the usb cable. Maybe it does so with Apple Music but with Spotify or Tidal I can hear the music being of lower quality than over BT.
There are tons of forum discussions about how bad apple carplay is with music. This is what I meant when I said it's the same.
Maybe it's my cable.. maybe it's the car, I don't know, but BT is better than wired for me with music coming from my iphone.

I wasn't aware the conversation was about Apple CarPlay or Apple products in general... Sorry for your loss.
