You know I really don’t know. I know I’m getting a GT2, but other than that I’m not really sure. How has everyone’s reliability been on these cars. Is there something common that causes issues? What are some good performance upgrades and why can I not find some good 2 piece rear brakes for these things.

They seem to be very reliable so far. Issues are limited to warping rotors, some problems with paint quality, rattling hatches and sunroofs but thats about it.
Good performance upgrades would be JB4 with upgraded plugs and upgraded downpipes and intake will net you some very good gains.
You can't find 2pc rear rotors because this is a brand new model and the aftermarket is still developing. 2pc front rotors are now available and some larger brake upgrades as well with larger calipers and rotors.

Thanks, it would kinda stink to have to replace your factory Brembo caliper with another caliper. I understand getting new rotors and things take time, but not by having to replace a caliper.

Well I only really brought up brakes because you asked specifically about rear rotors. The factory brembo calipers are great, if you ever felt the need to upgrade the brakes for some reason or another some more aggressive pads, rotors, fluid and stainless lines would step things up a notch.

The rotors do not warp. They just don't - some people think they do, but, in the kindest way I can describe it, that's a misunderstanding of what's happening.
The pads in some (and some may say many, and I'm not inclined to disagree) instances appear to be leaving deposits on the rotors that lead to them causing a pulsing or vibration through the brake pedal and/or steering wheel. Correctly bedding the pads in seems to help, and you can often "clean" the deposits from rotors by doing a solid re-bedding process (which basically abrades the deposits off the rotors). The longer term fix seems for many people to be after-market pads - I'd wager that the stock rotors are more than OK, and the Brembo calipers are fine too - more than fine for pretty much all usage.
Other than pads, some people have experienced a noisy sunroof, hatch and/or door frame seals, there are various "fixes" for this, depending on the underlying cause here.
A small number of people seem to have issues with spark plugs fouling - that's easily addressable by running slightly smaller gaps (stock seems to be somewhere around 0.030", closing the gap to somewhere between 0.022" and 0.026", probably at the higher end of that range for a stock car) seems to help here. There's been an occasional report of an ignition coil failure, but that seems pretty rare unless aftermarket tuning is happening.
Dealerships seem to love delivering cars with ~50psi of pressure in the tyres - but that's a super easy fix.

@Manaz covered the short list of mechanical reliability. Then there's paint. Yellow was recalled and individual vehicles received a respray. The other colors are less affected, to the point of it almost being a non issue for most colors. Just check the paint thoroughly before you take delivery, to make sure that your Stinger is not indicating any paint issues, which are: flaking, peeling, discoloration of clear coat, the lower front corner of the headlight assembly causing flaking (almost exclusively on the driver/left side for some reason), bubbling or pin prick holes in the clear coat. And the most common issue has nothing to do with Kia production and everything to do with how a particular dealership preps the car: swirls and even scratches in the clear coat, and in some extreme cases into the paint as well: because they don't know how to clean a car!? Watch for that.
The Stinger isn't afflicted with bad quality paint. Quite the opposite. But it does take road debris damage in front easily. A lot of owners (yours truly being one of them) get the front protected with PPF; the earlier the better. I've found my paint holds up really well and still looks brand new fifteen months later. I have had zero issues with my GT1. Best car, ever.

Oh, and check the piano gloss black panels and the dark chrome trim to make sure that "they" did not mark that up either with an orbital polisher or similar ham-fisted piece of equipment, etc. Good luck!
