My dedicated USB cd player that worked on my previous car (2019 Mazda 3) is not compatible with
my Stinger (error msg). Anyone using a portable unit? I'm wondering what to buy. FYI....I only need it for long road trips.

It would be easier to learn how to convert your cd's to digital format than finding cd player that works on the car. You will be amazed having your entire cd library on one hard drive and have all information(album art, title, artist...) show up in infotainment display.

I was dismayed (for a minute) when I discovered that CDs were gone (like the Dodo). I put my entire CD library (well, all that I wanted to) on a USB stick and never looked back. :)

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Do what I did, put all your music onto your computer & then transfer the tracks/songs you want on your phone, then you can play it through either Bluetooth, Android or CarPlay.
PS: I’m old too, but if it’s too daunting for you surely a young millennial in your family could set you up.

Now I have to start a family?

Spotify is a good replacement for all those 'old' CD's.

Don't you own an iPod ? stick it in the USB port and away you go.

OMG

Ah this is fun.
“I don’t need no fancy high fi tv he said..had the same tv since 1997 and it’s great for me”

What's keeping you from plugging any portable CD player into the aux in jack?

Honestly I'm rarely one of those "get with the times" people as I have tons of records and vintage audio equipment, but man seriously just ripping the discs and throwing everything on a natively-supported USB stick would be extremely inexpensive and much nicer in the long run.

OK,Ok.......I'll give it a try. It just seems a daunting task when I look at a few hundred cds on the shelf:eek:

As stated, why not just use the AUX socket?

Get yourself a good music streaming service, or
Buy yourself one of these,
VAULT 2i
It will do all the work for you, all your CDs can go in storage, and you can play away to hearts content at home, and copy the ones you want to your phone or USB stick, for the car.

Vault2i...$1300...I could rent a millennial for a lot less than that.

Lol, but it does more than rip your CDs.... think of it as a CD jukebox, plus it won't drink your beer, or eat your food...
