Plastic Retainer Clips, what size do I need I made a boo boo

So in the process of taking my JB4 out which I didn't put in myself or I would remember the driver-side fuel wire was run under the plastic at the top of the engine bay. Some of the clips were easy flat head screwdriver pop up the center and they come out. There were others I couldn't figure out till I asked and you push them in some then pull them out. Well I broke one of course so I'd like to buy a bunch of them and the other type for next time and to replace the one I broke

There is also this rubber seal that is clipped in that I can't figure out how to take off either someone said to slide the rubber around and it comes off then pull the clip out and put it back on the rubber before putting it back.

I see all kinds on Amazon but not sure what size I need to get.

One's I ordered a year or so ago were part #: 14206-08250B. Says they're fender liner clips, but I used them around the wheel wells for mudguards and for the tray you need to remove for an oil change.

Hate to resurrect a dead thread here, but is there a "right" way to remove these?? I keep breaking them. lol

On some of these you push the center pin in and remove. Others you pull the center pin first then remove the entire piece. Use a small flat blade screw driver to "pull" the center pin while keeping the rest of the piece pressed against what ever it's holding in place.

All the ones I've dealt with are you use a small screwdriver and pop up the center part just a little bit and then pull the entire pin.

for that first picture, the Hyundai/Kia ones you push the middle in and that loosens them up so you can pull them out. to reset, you have to push the pin out from the bottom, insert the clip, and then push down to lock into place.

I've found most of the time when you push them in they break

Push in gently. No doubt they probably do get brittle over time, extreme hot/cold cycles. I suppose this is better then rusted sheet metal screws.

Yup this is why I just keep a bunch on hand to replace them.

Go to an auto store and buy the removal pliers; they cost less than the number of clips it sounds like you're replacing. One of those things you won't need often, but indispensable when you do need them
