@AtomicRobot, Congrats on your Stinger. Nice treatment to the wheels. Plasti-Dip huh? Interesting... How durable will this be, especially against curbing? Not sure if I’m going to de-badge my Stinger. Looks cool but honestly, I’m kind of excited to represent the brand’s step in this new direction. Thanks and again congratulations!

I plan to cover the reflectors with 3M reflective black vinyl - it's gloss black in daylight, but when headlights hit it, it shines brightly. Same effect as street signs.

I put 20% tint on the side/rear reflectors yesterday. It didn't look right at all. Took it right back off.

Show us a pic of the vinyl when you do it.

Has anyone considered vinyl wrapping or using Plastidip on the front grill, I have the limited Sunset Yellow edition and I wanted to get rid of the chrome to match my Yellow and black theme. I just got the windows tinted as well. I will definitely be pastidipping the rims as well, OP do you by chance have links to the Plastidip you bought and is that a matte black or a gloss?

I don't think they make a gloss black. They do make a glossifier though. There's some really good tutorials for getting a good result with the glossifier on YouTube.

Plasti-dip is fairly durable, and I never curb my rims, so I should get a few years out of it. Those rims are covered with winter tires, and at the end of April, I'll buy a different set of black rims for my summer tires. So the plasti-dipped stock rims will just be my winter wheels.

PD is flat , you need to spray a glossifier over top to get a brighter finish , look up the Stinger Sema car , the Orange one has vinyl wrapped chrome .................looks much better

I wonder how hard vinyl wrapping those chrome pieces would be, looks like vinyl doesn't actually cost that much so it shouldn't be too expensive if I can install it myself.

I would get it done professionally , I've done a smaller removable grill which turned out great , this one has to have the front bumper removed ............................

i guess i'm the only one who thinks the car has lost some character without any badges at all? kind of like a face without eyebrows. to me anyway. it still looks good but i prefer having some sort of identification on my cars. just a personal preference i guess.

false both AWD and RWD have 19" options.

If it is AWD then the stock wheels are 18" RWD gets the 19"

Incorrect. My AWD has 19" staggered.

I found this yesterday, i believe it belongs here. Ps. @Flameangel this might be your solution.

This looks DOPE! What did it run you for the body shop to do the full debadge? I was thinking about wrapping/dipping mine in matte OD green and debadging or doing Decepticon badges/ghost logos haha
