Just curious if anyone just saw the recent announcement of the Pilot Sport 5 by Michelin. Apparently they will be going on sale in March 2022. Wonder if anyone plans on trying these out when it is time for new shoes. Here is the link if anyone wants to give it a read. Michelin

Wait for the PS5s…
No just the pilot sport 5. I’m still on my OEM currently but when the backs are done I might consider the 5

Might be good timing for me, I'll probably need new tires by 2023.

As long as they do not try to take advantage of inflation I will consider them. But if they are drastically more expensive then the 4S I would just try those out.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Still pretty happy with the AS 4. Unless I move to a warmer climate or get dedicated winters, I see little reason for an all out summer tire. Too many straight roads around here to really have any corning fun.

And they may have sales to get rid of old stock if the new model is a success.

I've had AS Pilot tires in the past, reasonable traction for the every so often cold/icy day. When the time comes the cheapest Pilot tire is likely going to end up on my Stinger, I don't need top performance and anything in the Pilot lineup is going to outperform the OE all seasons.

Meh, they will probably be dearer & a shorter wear life, but I guess time will tell.

I want to be excited, but I guess I'll wait for those smarter than me to check them out.
I went from the stock Pilot Sports to Nitto Invos hoping for better traction but they still don't hook very well.

I need that unicorn! The decent mileage (daily driver) tire with excellent dry grip and good enough wet grip. Is that too much to ask?? ;)

This looks appealing to me. I’ve had the stock PS4, PS4S, Falcon FK510, and Firestone Indy500. I’m going back to the PS4, unless this comes to the US around the time I need new tires this next year

I’m hoping the Continental Extremecontact Sport 235/40R19 is the unicorn for me, have a set coming in a couple weeks :fingers crossed: hopefully nearly as grippy vs the 4S, but should last 50% longer. I’m thinking a 30k mile tire vs a 20k…

Seriously, please let me know how this goes. I've been eyeballing the same tires but in 285/35/19 (RWD).

Even with the JB4 disconnected, the Nitto Invos spin at like 75ish% throttle at the track. I need more tractions!

Will do, doing a fly n ride home some 800 miles, but saving $6k, so worth it, so we’ll see. Hoping for some nice weather, 50’s would be nice

Inflation is inevitable with tyres :P

Definitely not gonna bother until they have been reviewed/tested
