I have never been a dirt bike person.Don't really play in the dirt all that much but do have them when the mood strikes.
That's pretty much how I feel. I've been road riding since the '80s, but just I got into dirtbikes a few years ago. There is a local group here that does a "Mextrek" from McAllen, TX down into the Monterey mountains. Seemed like a barrel of fun, so I wanted to give it a try. Just as I was gearing up for it, COVID hit... and I've pretty much given up on it. Instead, I only occasionally go with my oldest to tear up the local construction sites, where they are building new subdivisions. I'm probably gonna give up on dirt at some point. Falling off is kinda a given, and I don't heal as well/quick as I used to.I have never been a dirt bike person.
You should see the faces of folks when i explain 80 around a twisty feels safer than 40 on a trail.
Looks like a traveler!!My older Triumph Sprint ST 955 in long distance
Current ride is a 2017 Triumph Trophy
A lot of riders would kill for a Superhawk, even now.Kawasaki C14 and a Honda SuperHawk, the SuperHawk gets no love these days, I hurt too much after a ride![]()
Yes, funny! Good call, it was a good bike to train a couple friends on. Only problem I had was the kickstand switch was a bit flaky. Is that Yami the XJ600 Seca II? I had a '92... bar none the worst bike I've ever owned.
Mine was reliable, but the air-cooled 600 was underpowered and very cold-blooded. I had an XJ650 and an XJ700, both '80s power cruisers that had good power and carbureted well. A bit of choke on a cold morning and off I went. Not so the Seca II. Plus it had a headshake at certain speeds (35-50mph?) if I let go of the handlebar. Not at all unstable otherwise, but unsettling nonetheless. Especially since the budget suspension was supposed to be beginner friendly. Loved the styling though.Yes, funny! Yeah, the C14 is a big girl, but she can dance real well once she gets going!
