• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Pictorial where did you go in your Stinger today

Hiked up to the three emerald pools. Random snow flakes fluttered down for part of the roughly three hour hike (we're not fast, plus we dawdled). The weather changed to sunny through the clouds. After we got back to the car I drove across the road so my wife could use the necessary; while she was in there, I used a drying microfiber to lap up the drops on my car. Of course, aside from that being fun, it was totally feckless, since almost the minute we started out of the canyon the rain came. :D That's the shortest that a "car wash" has lasted me. :P

Home before six o'clock; left Springdale at c. 12:23 PM. It was snowy down south, and we ran into a few more flurries. My car is an absolute mess; I'll spray the undercarriage tomorrow and get that salty crud OFF.

"Headless Marilla" is almost dead center of the second pic (think Marilla Cuthbert of "Anne of Green Gables", hah. :D). This was the view outside my wife's hotel window this morning.

A bit mundane compared to Zion Canyon, but hey, the Jordan River Trail is a nice venue for a power walk. DSCF0502.MOV
(Dig that extra wide end stall!:D)

Don't know what it is but it's nice!

Sad how now matter how nice and fast our cars are, we can still only go as that bloody Camry somewhere up front doing 15 under the limit in the fast lane.

Good to see you on the forum again Flame....thought you had completely deserted us to that other Stinger site.
No not deserted you guys, just have a lot going on, my eldest child will be in/ out of hospital this year so my priority is with her.

Very sorry to hear that. Hope all goes well with your child. Of course they are the biggest priority.

Five of us in the Salt Lake Valley area managed to get together for a "swarm", in Murray park. Utah Stingers We did not plan that symmetrical color arrangement, it just happened that way as Stingers arrived. :D All GT trims: one GT, two GT1 and two GT2. The only model year not represented was 2020; my 2018, @ryno5514 's 2019, @jmcbgardner 's 2021, @Knet182 's 2021 and @HaltHammerzeit 's 2022. Here's the folder of the pics and videos I took: swarm

Not today but yesterday.....

FUN !!

Top speed reached on the main straight: 212KPH
Average speed through T1: 158KPH

OEM tires held up pretty well considering.

AND, with the Velossa Ducts on the car and going pretty hard on a 23C day, the engine water and oil temps stayed nice and stable

HIGHLY recommend anyone with a Stinger gets it out on the circuit at least once to see what it's really capable of.

Drag racing is fine/fun but the car has so much more to give than accelerating in a straight line !

If anyone in NSW is "thinking" about doing this, don't be scared ( nervous excitement is expected though ).

There are Beginner & Intermediate groups / sessions for the Sydney Motorsport Park Track Days, and at the start, the hosts give you 2 way radios and do 2 slow siting laps in a convoy to show you the track and walk you through technique. There are also people there who will hop in the car with you to help you get the most out of your time on the track safely ( just ask ).

NOTE: I don't work for them or get anything for saying all this but I was just really impressed at how it was run and I had so much fun.
The last time I went out on this track was 11 years ago and they've improved the experience / service a lot since then ( however I now drive a bit more conservatively than I did 11 years ago ).

I went out in the intermediate group and was joined by the likes of a 1 series BMW, $600K Porsche (something), 5.0 Mustangs, Honda's, a WRW and an angry Fiat 500 Arbath on Semi-Slicks.

You soon learn who's going to be in your mirrors and just let them go by ( then try to catch them :sneaky:).

You can drive as fast as you feel comfortable and so long as you keep your eyes open and follow the rules, you'll be fine. Yes, there are always people faster than you but it's not a race. Just a place to drive your stinger the way you wish you always could. No traffic lights, intersections, Police, Mobile Speed Camera's, etc etc.
