• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Pictorial where did you go in your Stinger today

Hiking in the Uinta mountains. Up to Lofty lake, down to Cutthroat lake which was a false move: the trail ended in rocks, as you can see; we had to backtrack to Kamas lake; and finally back to the parking lot, where nearly all the vehicles had vamoosed. When I parked, there, I had had to sidle in carefully along the edge to give my doors room to open without contact.

Looking out to the north (that's Wyoming in the distance), overlooking Cutthroat lake.

I was expecting to see Merlin walking in those mountains and then I realised...no it’s Ozzies post.
.....give it time.....give it time...bound to be a mountain trail, river vistas, mountain top, forests, carparks and Canyons coming our way lol.

Returned to the Uinta mountains with my friend (since the second grade; probably the person I've known the longest other than family).

You can bet that I creeped to this parking spot, since the road is rocks and gravel and very uneven in some places.

After seeing some of these photos Merlin, looks like you might need to trade the Stinger for a SUV.

Merlin what is it with mountains and you? Is it the rairfied air up there? is it a vain attempt to re-inact Moses? Or perhaps you were a Sherpa in a previous incarnation. Gonna have to put a quota limit on said Vistas.lol

I'm connected to other people who love the mountains and talk me into it. Hah. I like hiking but not that much. Left to my own devices, I'd probably get up there a couple of times a year is all. :P

Hiked up to lakes Blanche, Florence and Lillian yesterday. It was doubtful going up if we were going to make it: my friend, Mike, began to wonder if there is something wrong with him because he lacked his youthful stamina. "Go figure", at nearly 68. :D We saw a lot of other hikers, well over half of them women/girls (and most of them showed us up nicely). We were, of course, in a very, very small age bracket on that trail: it is a slog of 2.8 miles at over 1,000 feet climb per mile. Coming back down is, interesting; whole different set of muscles, but evidently easier, despite complaining joints and sinews; we two old guys made it up in over three hours and down in over two hours.
