• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Pictorial where did you go in your Stinger today

It took until June to open? What's the elevation?
Not that high, it tops out at 8,000 feet. We just got a lot of snow this winter. "Too much snow", the lady on the phone said: "UDOT couldn't keep up with it." (Utah Dept. of Transportation) Guardsman Pass is 9,717 feet.

On Monday I used my car for work (drove over 150KM that day) and managed to get a nice chip on my front right bumper :(

The guys at John Hughes Welshpool (shoutout to Jack Rhodes) was kind enough to touch up my paint when I took my Stinger in the next day to replace my rain sensor cover (took them a few months before they got the replacement part).

I am still debating whether I get this resprayed or not, it would cost me a few hundred to half a grand to respray. The damage is barely noticeable, so I am not sure if it would even be worthwhile to get it fixed.

I bet whatever it was made a heck of a noise on impact?

Sand with wet paper, lay on another coat, repeat until smooth(er). Add top coat. Then, later, have a pro fix it if you're not satisfied. The longer you wait for PPF, the more of these you will be fixing.

if you go Merlins route fill the hole with several more layers to build up the depth first .or buy some 3m white vinyl and cut out a piece to fit over it , from 5 ft away it would be unnoticeable

Thought I'd bring up your roadtrip as you brought it up in another thread. :) When and if I take my Stinger on a roadtrip, I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures of the car and points of interest that I see. I'll try to avoid chasing after crazy Bimmer drivers though...at least you were able to keep pace with that one!
you might find you're the one being chased !!!:)

Heh, I've had that happen twice so far after a little over a month. One was a Mustang owner that sped up to pull up behind me, but then decided to stay behind, just pacing me for the portion of my drive. Another was another Stinger, the "elusive" white one with tint and black wheels I've been seeing for weeks to/from work. They went (more like crept) past, and I would've followed, but was exiting to my work. No crazy stories like Merlin or the rest of you guys yet. :p

One Tree Hill Ararat, yesterday (home of a well known annual Hill Climb). I had to test the GT of course, frighteningly fast run up the hill after an initial sedate trip up and back to ensure no human or vehicle "distractions" :laugh:stinger1.webp stinger2.webp stinger3.webp

Since I can't detail my Stinger at home, due too lack of space, I either have to clean or detail it at the Car Wash Bay, or here on weekends, Kia's Regional Office car park, which is very close to home, and no one, so far has parked right next to me.:):rofl::laugh::rofl:..

Give it a crop and there's a calendar pic.

Like this?
Thanx, for the example, I had thought about putting it in for the calender, but it's just a car park, not like some backgrounds you other guys have.
