Drove to Wagga Wagga NSW today, first stop Goulburn home of the big Merino.

Then to Wagga wagga we stopped at the tourist information centre where we spotted a true Icon, a red stinger gt on it's way out.

Day 1 trip road kill report: 15 x Kangaroos, 10 x foxes, 3 x Kookaburras, 3 x Magpies, 2 x Ravens, 1 x King parrot, 16 x unknown carcasses, 2 x unknown bird species.
1 x Red Stinger spotted.

That was a cute blonde English tourist In a 4 wheel drive. She started laughing and waving as I took the photo. I asked the wife if I could chat her up. But once the anxt started the moment was gone lol.

Lol. I nailed a tawny frogmouth on Saturday night in the work car, driving along slowly on a residential street looking for something then see a sudden flash of white feathers coming at the bottom left corner of the windscreen. Impacts about a quarter of the way across, rolls in a mess of wings and clawed feet ends up upside down showing the speckled brown topside, collects the A pillar on the right side and drops out of view just nicking the side mirror on the way down. Anyway did what I needed to do and circled back round the block and here’s the stupid thing sitting on the side of the road almost in the running lane just staring into the distance with that slow blink that owls do. At least I didn’t kill it so no road kill count but it made a fair crack at the kamikaze run.

Oh also Ravens? Mate you’re in Australia not old mother England. We call them crows here.

Day 2 Coolamon & Temora no Stinger sitings. Went to the Cheese factory at the former and the Aircraft museum at the latter.
Day road kill 2 x Kangaroos, 1 x rabbit, 2 x magpies, 2 x possums.

Coolamon small town with all old buildings and old railway. Like all old country towns it as its flour mill building near the rail line.
Temora old warbirds at the museum, super friendly staff.

Fuel economy up from a low of 7.6 to 7.9 quite undulating and uneven.
