That used to be the Ettamogah Pub and was decked out exactly like the pub in the old cartoon; car on the roof and everything, until there was some sort of contractual issues and it was remodeled to what you see now.

I haven’t been there since the revamp. Structurally it looks identical but visually the old pub was much, much more appealing.

Ollie due you remember the themed Wild west saloon bars at West Burleigh heads ? I went to them in the mid 80's but they were closed by the early 90's. They were the best pubs ive ever been to.

Mmm can’t place them. I lived on the Coast from 89 to about 92 but I was at Southport on the northern end so most of my drinking was up that end.

The two theme bars side by side where called the "Gunslinger saloon" and The "OK Coral saloon" upstairs was a cocktail bar with a train set going round close to the ceiling. They served a cocktail in a fish bowl for $9.95 a pop and that was in 1985. One of the best holidays ive ever had.

I don't know about you @Stinger GT SS , but the Silky Silver StingerGT in your photos, seems to be stalking you, every location you have visited, there it is suspiciously sitting in the car park, I would be careful if I were you....looks like he also placed an Aussie badge on the front fender, maybe the driver is an obsessed fan..., Ohh, and here you are wanting to take photos of these great locations, and here is this guys Stinger taking up your shot
