I'm not sure if it was this thread but the subs don't push air because they are ported into the body.
So I started "testing" the speakers and didn't feel anything from the two that were under the seats even though I can hear the bass when I play my music. How do I know if they're working properly.
You play a bass test video from YouTube and lay a dollar bill on the sub. Loud enough the bill leaps off the sub. But it will quiver if it doesn't leap off.I'm not sure if it was this thread but the subs don't push air because they are ported into the body.
I put the Super Bees on my fenders!
My understanding is the only Stingers w/o subs is the base 2.0t.
Do the dollar bill test, you'll see it quiver.I swear mine has the speaker covers but no sound. the upgraded model comes with the extra speakers. I'm almost 100 percent sure the base gt in Canada doesn't have it. when i tested the top model gt there was a noticeable difference in sound and base.
this afternoon. also has anyone upgraded them ? must be a super thin speaker ? probably costlyDo the dollar bill test, you'll see it quiver.
great thanksNobody that I've read/heard of has replaced the under-seat subs; but some have supplemented with a sub box in the hatch.
Why not give these a try first? I've found my bass very rewarding: I have the HK 15 speaker system; but bass is bass; on demand, those under-seat subs have really belted out all the bass any metal has delivered.
I thought the base was decent in my GT2 until I drove my son’s Kia Rio. Man that thing thumps like nothing I have heard before.Nobody that I've read/heard of has replaced the under-seat subs; but some have supplemented with a sub box in the hatch.

trust me i know, my civic about 15 years ago had a great system in it (rockford fosgates also lol) no comparison at allI thought the base was decent in my GT2 until I drove my son’s Kia Rio. Man that thing thumps like nothing I have heard before.
Oh, I forgot to mention my son put two 12s in a large enclosure in his trunk with a nice Rockford Fosgate amp pushing them. There really is no comparison between any factory system and even a half decent aftermarket system when it comes to bass.
They are sealed. Not ported.I'm not sure if it was this thread but the subs don't push air because they are ported into the body.

That is indeed - the port, that ports into the sealed chamber.View attachment 53235

and for those saying they dont or barely work, they have a very heavy taper LPF. like 40hz and under. everything over that is being put mostly in the doors.
for example, play this song.
And if you are using a poor quality source - ie MP3's Spotify, Apple music, etc... you are missing out on most of the LF content as wellsub port
