Perth Flight Instructor passes out .........................AV8R ???

And? Why did he lose consciousness?
I can remember at least two times when, if my instructor had not been with me, I'd have "biffed" the whole plane (and might not be writing this now).

It appears he had a medical episode. Giving out more detail would probably be a breach of privacy.

Glad to hear the landing was a success, and that everyone survived. Recalling my severely limited skills during my first episode of dual instruction, I'm not sure my attempt at a radio-directed solo landing would have been quite that accomplished. Kudos to ATC as well - perhaps they had some help in the tower with them from the flying school, if it was on field.

They did say the instructor was stable when taken to hospital - I hope there aren't any long term medical effects, as over an hour is a long time to have lost consciousness.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Young instructor had a seizure, student pilot had 2.5 hrs flying time total so he went solo well under the record! No damage to plane or people. Instructor is in hospital under going medical investigation. My theory is its a tumour. I hope I’m wrong was he is a good pilot.

2.5 hrs of flying time!? Holy crap!! What an unlikely outcome.

Thanks for the update, @AV8R. Hope that the young CFI makes a full recovery ...

I did think about you when I heard about this incident AV8R. Hope he is ok.
