Hey all. I am in the process of buying a 2020 GT2 so thought I would get a head start by checking in on the Forums. I have been a Mazda owner for a long time now. I was in the market for a new ride and was looking at Mazda6s here and there. During my searches I came across the Stinger and was intrigued. Once I started looking into it further I was convinced that the Stinger was a viable option. I test drove a 2020 Indigo edition a few weeks back and knew this was the car I wanted. I passed on that car as I couldn't get passed the brown interior, but I was determined to find a nice low mileage 3.3 TT.

I am in the process of getting a 2020 GT2 in blue with black interior. Can't wait to get it.

Anything I should look out for before cutting the check for this baby?

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us! You've come to the best place to research the Stinger. Which Mazda will the Stinger be replacing for you?

2008 Mazdaspeed 3. It has served me well for over 10 years, but it has 185K on the odo and the body has seen better days (rear quarter rust). I also want to get up to speed on the tech side of cars, like Nav and Android auto access etc.

I don't see many MazdaSpeed3s around anymore, but I grew to like them when I discovered them not all that long ago. The Stinger is definitely a nice upgrade. Especially in the technology area... It IS nice keeping up with new high tech options...

Rear hatch rattle, squeaky door seals including the sunroof, front brake pads (brake shudder), check the coolant overflow tank and make sure its near the full mark while cold. All these are easy to fix, don't let them deter you.

Hey TriPaulyD!

As @Rodtheviking mentioned above, the main issue is the brake shudder from the oem brembo pads. We at @K8 Stinger Store carry aftermarket ceramic pads that are going to work much better for you than the oem's, while also cutting down on brake dust. You can check the pads out HERE! Other than that, the hatch rattle is an easy fix, you can find that info on the forum.

Once you get your Stinger, you'll love it!

Check us out at www.K8StingerStore.com for your aftermarket and oem parts!

Enjoy the ride!

This may sound like an obvious one, but definitely check to make sure the touch screen is responsive and accurate to touch. Make sure android auto / car play work properly with your phone.
Is this a common issue? It will be easy enough to check. Plus I will have 30 days to return the car if it's a lemon or something. :D

Not a common issue, but touch screens in general can have issues with the digitalizer that reads human touch, especially when exposed to varying temperatures like cars are.
