That's only in Sport + Mode.

There are four modes (as shown in the graph) and each of those modes have 8 adjustable settings, 4 lower and 4 higher.

1 Hz is one operation per second. Writing "1 Hz/s" is like syaing "1 operation per second per second." It's incorrect.

It just means that it is accelerating...

That's only part of the equation, this also eliminates the lag between when you press the gas pedal and when the car actually begins moving. Ever pull out into traffic quickly and when you press the pedal down the car feels like it takes forever to react? Well this helps solve that issue.

If I'm in sport mode, I have no lag especially if I mash the pedal. Seems like a big waste of money to me to do something I can do myself. To each his own though, if you like it, that's all that matters.
