Thanks to everyone for your input, all of you liked the flag concept & the majority agreed with @OliverNuther suggested position, so I took the plunge & spared no expense (AU$4.40 + GST) & fitted these tonight on both sides.
What do you all think?

Thanks mate, my wife liked your positioning suggestion & so did most, a bit of 36mm wide painters tape to create the gap from top of the brake vent to bottom of the badge then 20mm in from the door edge, easy peezy.
