I searched this forum for anyone dealing with the issue I am having with my BRAND NEW 2022.

Occasionally, when I back up, the display will be full of green pixels randomly placed throughout the image, except of course where the car image is laid in. It doesn't happen every time I back up and I cannot make a connection between temp, time driving, weather conditions, etc to this failure. The dealership has been in contact with KIA and was told to dismantle the dash and assure all of the connectors are properly seated and if that doesn't address the issue, to continue down the harnessing run making sure all of the connectors are properly seated.

I've searched the internet and can't find anyone having this exact same issue so I thought I'd try here. I don't have a pic to post, sorry. Imagine you're looking at your display while using the back up camera and the car image is clear in the center and then the entire surrounding images from the outside cameras are laden with random green pixels. So it's not the green screen of death others are experiencing.

Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated.

If it was a video card, I'd say bad memory.

Pic?

I'm waiting for it to do it again and then I'll grab a pic. In one way, I wish it would do it every time it's in use so I could show the dealer and all of you a pic BUT I really wish it just worked, you know?

As soon as I get a pic, I"ll post up.

Thx!

These green artifacts, does it happen under any other conditions or just when in reverse? Is it certain parts of the image - ie just the rear, or sides? I'd say if it's localized, then perhaps it's that camera acting up¿?

It happens when in reverse but also if I turn it on when parking into a spot. It's all around the car so I don't think it's a camera issue. I think it's either poor connections or a bad board of some type. Wish it was localized...

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Okay everyone, here's the story for the fix...

I took the car to the dealer and they worked for THREE WEEKS to try to figure it out. They were in daily contact with KIA corporate service. No one at KIA could figure it out. Finally, KIA sent THREE engineers to look at my car. They couldn't figure it out either sooooo KIA authorized the removal of the ENTIRE camera system with all harnessing and boards and displays and cameras and a complete replacement be put in. The engineers then took my entire system with them when they left. Then the dealer found out there were only four complete systems in the entire US. Thankfully, they were able to obtain one and after another couple of days it arrived.

The dealer allowed me to look at my car in the service bay. It looked like a bomb went off inside and blew the entire interior out the doors. UNREAL. There were parts EVERYWHERE.

It's together now and everything is buttoned up tight and everything works. So far no noises either. Say a prayer...

Well glad it is finally fixed.
