Paint problems fixed for 2019 models?

I am considering a red 2019 Stinger GT Limited (GT2 for my American friends). Any updates on the paint issues?

I checked out Jerry Seiner's cars this morning. Two are MY18 Premiums (significantly, one is a White, which on July 30th, the last time I checked their inventory for paint defects, had both headlight assemblies causing PEELING, not just flaking/chipping: now the White is inside the showroom and perfect), seven already on the lot are MY19s, six GT2s and one Black Premium. There is not the first indication of issues under the headlight assemblies or any other paint defects, not even any damage. All eight cars are perfect.

Luck of the draw on my18's. I have a black with the dreaded Dec17 build and absolutely no paint issues.

Like the great majority of MY18s. We read all about the few failures here, which blows the incidence out of proportion through focusing on the negative.

I do not think there was major paint issue with the red for 2018’s if I recall.

Except a "majority" of my18s had peeling under the headlights...

A majority of the MY18s that you looked at; a minority of the ones that I looked at. And no MY18s currently on the lot yesterday. I think they've fixed it.

I have a 2018 Stinger Micro Blue and the plastic blue running strip on top of the car either side of the sunroof is cracking. Kia are going to replace it completely under warranty.

Howdy. I don't consider those "drip rails" in the same seriousness as body panel paint defects. I hope your replacement goes satisfyingly. Welcome to the forum (late ).

Yo me too. I have a 2018 red chroma whatever and it's killing me Everytime I look at it. How long is the turn around for replacements? I need to do this when I have time

Do you have an extended warranty, or does the basic warranty cover this? I just noticed I had the same issue.
