P0234

As embarrassing as it is to admit that I didn't find it sooner; I found that the plastic fittings (throttle body and vacuum) on the CAI weren't tight. Took the hose clamps off and snugged them up. Fired it up and ran around town pretty aggressive everything seemed fine. At least I believe that was the answer.
it's funny. not sure if this was the cause of my problems or something but I noticed the hoses in my oil catch can come loose. extremely loose and found some oil that spilled within the engine bay. cleaned it up of course but I noticed my car was having a way easier time spooling up the turbos after that. again not sure if it was related to that.

OBDII will store old fault codes till you actually delete them manually.
would I be able to delete them on the jb4? I've kinda tried that but not sure if that's how you properly do it. still, show up but not the check engine light.

I'm not sure on the JB4 to be honest, I haven't really used that feature on it before, I have a OBDII reader that just has a reset option.

might not even have the option to reset hmmm. ima try finding an auto zone with the option to reset it

So I had this code pop up when I fired up my car leaving work today. I drove it during lunch with no issues.

If I clear it with the JB4, the CEL is gone for the next drove cycle but still won't build boost. Once I shut the engine off and back on, the code and CEL returns.

Anyone have a definitive cause figured out?

felt that... so damn annoying. bought some EWG wires to fix the problem and then ended up having way more problems and headaches. I'm still trying to figure things out... might just buy a brand new jb4 at this point

So I figured it out. Terry Burger pointed me in the right direction and said that that code is from a loose connection to one of the TMAP sensors. Since I verified both harnesses were good, I took apart the JB4 and looked at the main harness.

Lo and behold, one of the yellow wires was out its socket. Not sure which pin its labeled but there's 2 yellow wires and it was one of those. Pushing it back into place just showed it wasn't going to stay put for whatever reason. So I used some hot glue to sorta keep it in place. Hooked it all up and everything is right as rain. So with that pin out of place, it was causing an open circuit for one of the TMAP sensors. Case closed.

I'm having problems with the bank 2 o2 sensor. everything looks good and clipped in on the jb4 and my car's o2 sensor. mine might be broken

I just got this code this morning on my fbo gt2. It's been super cold up here in CNY but I've never this issue before. Now I can't get the code to reset. Does it go away on its own after the car warms up enough? It's 6 degrees so maybe I just need to wait for warmer weather.

well for me it comes out hot or cold. as soon as I turn on my car the code pops up if my jb4 is connected to my car. I'm going to check all my connections today but I'm pretty sure I've done this 4 times already DX

I have a case of the P0234's as well. Lost all boost three times in as many days. First two times a shut off and turn back on fixed the issue and chk engine light did not come on. Plugged into the OBD port today and stored code was P0234. Drove the car this morning and lost turbos and now chk engine light is. Off to the dealership. It is cold here but I believe I may have a wastegate issue.

Your poor car. So many issues and it’s brand new! I’d push for the dealer to take it back! Sorry to hear you’re going through issues man.

Do you have any mods?
I have AEM CAI, JB4 with fuel wires and everything was running fine.
This week I installed an MBRP cat back exhaust and now I'm getting overboost and P0234.
I thought the JB4 went nuts and removed it, but still having issues.

Still stock...

Same with my completely stock 2023...

I wonder... Some say when you start boosting more, like with JB4, that you have to at least gap spark plugs. Could it be that during low temps (like under 20F) we have too much air and misfire happens? Not enough to trip misfire DTC, but enough to raise intake pressure? Probably bro science here, but I am trying to fix this intermediate issue somehow. Service dep manager told me he needs to see light on the dash to touch the car...

gents, im a uk member so not sure if the cars so not sure if the cars are set up any differently

tried to get my car remapped and its throwing up this code
car is not standard, k+n intakes, sports cats, MBRP cat back exhaust and custom downpipes

has anyone got to the bottom of this or can recommend where to start looking?

So, my issue was fixed after installing the JB4 and playing with the wastegate settings. That's what did it for me.
It seems that after these mods, the turbo spins up faster and the OEM wastegate program curve can not contain it, leading to overboost.
