Couple of weeks ago I put 60.29L into the 60L tank and it was claiming 35km to empty, which is why I think the gauge is faulty. My service department claim it’s working fine and that the 60L tank is actually bigger than 60L and that the figure given by Kia is to accommodate the idiot factor so people don’t run out of fuel. I call bullshit on that.

1.559 was cheap for Pulp at any time of the cyle. Saw 98 at Shell Northmead for 193.9 on Sunday!

Doesn’t QLD have cheap fuel, NSW subsidises for you.

Nah, we used to have a 7c/L subsidy courtesy of the QLD govt but that bit the dust many moons ago. I filled up with 91 today at 165, down from 172 a week ago.

I keep drums of fuel at home. Bought it weeks ago before prices hike. I have enough for a few months , hopefully prices will drop by then. Bought 98 for 1.68 a litre.

Wow, that’s a substantial amount, do you use it regularly, fuel goes “off” in time.

Octane stays safe for 12 months but will start to go down after 6 months . I will have used it in two months.

Yeah I know, but 120L is a lot to store, most I hold is 10L of mower fuel...good old 2 Stroke.

Yeh but I have three cars to drive and my wife drives one. The other is an i30 SR which is cheap as chips to run. I refuel every two weeks. The stinger is not my every day drive (yet).
