one of my favorite things about this car....

My favorite thing about the Stinger is the feeling I get that I could just keep going, nowhere in particular, for a long, long time
Well, except for the laughably small gas tank. Especially for a GT car.

Non issue. My bladder is smaller than any gas tank! :D
Not to mention appetites right, since no one, including me, will ever be eating in my car. My son got Chinese food to go and he went to open the container to snack on some orange chicken and I was like 'are you out of your mind?' ;-)

I will take each eating situation on a "case by case" basis. For myself, eating in my car is essential on a road trip. But I only eat very easy food, nothing drippy or crumbly; if it's a cookie or cracker, it goes in my mouth entirely, no biting off, etc. Passengers have been very few in numbers; and so far, only two on road trips. Their food was very mess free, similar to my own. Orange chicken? Your reaction was thoroughly sane and justified.

This is another reason why I like the Stinger. This guy stopped in his tracks. :)

Curious.webp

Well yeah, you are driving through VW city it looks like :) He is leaning forward, squinting and trying to see if you are driving a new VW model :D

Yeah what's up with that!?! That's the first thing that caught my eye when I was reviewing the specs on the Stinger. With everyone averaging 15-16mpg you would think they would put at least a 20 gallon tank in it. And it's not like it would hurt the weight. What's another 30 pounds on top of 4,000-4,100? :)

Wouldn't red chicken (like Indian chicken) be more acceptable if your seats are red? :D

I am not missing the trunk on the CEEd at all.

I like that! My wife is definitely going to be jealous when I get the Stinger. She likes a lot of trunk space and thinks her Accord doesn't have enough of it. She usually lugs around 100+lbs worth of crap in the back. That's why since about 30K mi. the rear shocks are sagging and camber is chewing up the tires.

barbecue grills or dead bodies........lots of trunk space!!

I think someone was a Godfather fan, but the design team heard "horse, dead" and not "horse head" - but we got what we got. Not complaining.

The speed, handling, exterior, interior, that's all great, but I think what makes me love it all so much more is that you can get that entire package while being able to go to Home Depot, find a killer deal on a grill, and bring it home without having to rent a truck or leave to borrow another vehicle and come back and get it.

Amen! All the power, handling, and performance make it a great car. But add in all that comfort, luxury, and hatch space and it makes it a true grand touring car. That's what I really love about it. I've posted elsewhere here about the number of get-away's The Wife and I have taken since I bought the car in May. Last one was in October - a road-trip to visit some family and color-tour: Grand Rapids to Madison to see my bro; to Minneapolis to see wife's sisters; N Wisco and the UP for a few days; back to GR. 10 days; 1700 miles. 3-4 bags; 2 sets of golf clubs; fly-rod case and wader bag; 2 computer bags, pillow, blanket, a cooler... Dropped the back seat behind the driver; left the passenger side up for the passenger to recline/nap. Plenty of space. Love it!

Just made use of the full utility capacity of this car, with a last last minute to get a hatch full of Christmas decorations from our storage unit. Took out the cover from the hatch, folded the seats and stuffed it full of boxes. It's the most stuff that I've put in there and was very impressed by the volume.

It was a red sled full of Christmas festivity. Merry Christmas to you all!

My Money is on a landing pad.....too big for a maxi.........

Don't forget, it's fast enough to get away from Zombies, just in case this was the first one of a Zombie Apocalypse...

I had to take my 2012 Optima in for recalls and took a lovely GT2 out for a test drive. I am obsessed now.
